LaFayette Apple Festival

LaFayette is one of the biggest apple towns in Central New York and this weekend, they celebrate it. The LaFayette Apple Festival kicks off on Saturday. The two-day long festival happens every year on Columbus day weekend. The festival showcases homemade apple products like apple fritters, apple pies and apple donuts. But apples aren’t the only food that can be found. Local organizations such as the LaFayette Fire Department and the Order of the Eastern Star serve up barbeque chicken, loaded baked potatoes and hot dogs. This event is family friendly with a midway and pony rides for the kids. There’s even an Apple King and Queen contest. The two winners participate in community events throughout the year. The event is expected to bring in about 90,000 visitors from all parts of New York and New England, according to the event’s website.

I like your story. It's a good little story on something happening over the weekend. Now, I sort of wish I had gone. I guess I only really have two suggestions. If possible, it might be better to have a link to the local chapter's website of the Order of the Eastern Star instead of the grand chapter. Also, it would be good to find out if we put attribution at the beginning or the end of the sentence. That's all I can think of. Good job!
